Davey Johnstone of Elton John Band Interview

Davey Johnstone is Elton John's longtime guitarist and musical director. He has also co-written some of Elton's finest songs along with the bespectacled superstar and his lyricist, Bernie Taupin, including I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues and Cage The Songbird. Davey talks to Tom about how he's coping with coronavirus forcing him and the Elton John Band off the Yellow Brick Road, why he persuaded Elton that original drummer, Nigel Olsson, should rejoin the band in 2001 and why 21st century Elton John songs don't tend to last long in the setlist.
