#306 - Denny Tedesco (Interview Show)

Denny Tedesco has a conversation with Tom about his documentary, The Wrecking Crew, which tells the story of the group of famed Los Angeles session musicians - including Leon Russell, Hal Blaine, Glen Campbell and Denny's father, Tommy - whose services were employed in the creation of thousands of the most iconic studio recordings of the 1960s. He also discusses his follow up documentary that is currently in production: The Immediate Family, celebrating the lives of five of popular music's most accomplished "sidemen", Steve Postell, Danny Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel, Leland Sklar, and Russ Kunkel, whose careers began in the 1970s with artists such as James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt. NB - This episode was originally recorded as part of Tom's Greatest Music of All Time Podcast, which organically evolved from its inception in early 2020, from a focus on the discussion of music to also exploring pop culture, comedy, entertainment, entrepreneurship, philosophy, science, politics and current affairs commentary. It was renamed as the Tom Cridland Podcast in January 2023.
