Darlene Love Interview
Tom chats to the legendary Darlene Love over Zoom. Darlene rose to fame as part of The Blossoms, making their own pop records like "That's When The Tears Start", but also working in the studio with Phil Spector, the Wrecking Crew and artists like The Ronettes and Frank Sinatra on iconic recordings like "Be My Baby" and "That's Life". Darlene's solo career and hits produced by Spector followed. Darlene talks about singing uncredited lead vocals on two number 1 hits by The Crystals and her friendship with the E Street Band's Steve Van Zandt, which led to 2015's LP "Introducing Darlene Love". She also picks the wonderful "Good Good Lovin'" by The Blossoms as her favourite of the recordings she has sung on.
