Davey Johnstone of the Elton John Band Interview
Davey Johnstone is the longtime guitarist and musical director for Elton John. He wrote the timeless classic song "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" along with the rocket man himself and has been an integral part of his band since the early 1970s. Davey has a conversation with Tom about his first solo album since 1973, entitled Deeper Than My Roots, which is out on Cherry Red Records on February 4th and features collaborations with other Elton John Band members including Nigel Olsson and the late Bob Birch.
