#150 - Wafia Interview

Wafia Al-Rikabi, known professionally as Wafia, is an Australian singer-songwriter of Iraqi-Syrian origin. Originally studying biomedicine at university, she began to write songs to escape its monotony. Her breakthrough hit was a cover of Mario's "Let Me Love You", which garnered almost 5 million plays on SoundCloud. Wafia talks to Tom about her journey to making her own music and how she's been dealing with Covid-19 bringing live music to a halt.
