Casa Pan de Miel in Mazunte is a truly unique and hidden gem. This part of Mexico is completely unspoilt, free (for the time being) from any unwanted corporate behemoths, like Sheraton and Hilton, and as a result this independently run establishment enjoys unspoilt views of the beach and ocean. The rooms, swimming pool and dining area all face out onto the sea in a quite magical way. I could not recommend this place more - it is certainly worth travelling a long distance to get to, especially if you can stay for at least fortnight.
